3 sets!

I've been lax in posting, so here are 3 (!) set of blocks:

These were done by me for Ellen. I was so glad she had a red and yellow theme-I was dying to try out these fabrics.

what's your background?

These ones were done by Ellen for me. Cab you see the extra embroidery?

And these were done by me for Sandi--cats & cups!

A RETURN TO BLOCKING

Hi Y'All:

It's good to be back. First, let me say that I'm still as lame at posting as I have ever been. When I initially added these images, they lined up quite nicely. However, I won't mess with them any further. Check out these superb blocks I got from Jackie for the January Block Swap.......

Below each full-view of the block is a close-up of Jackie's fine handwork and hand applique. I'm not sure if you can see it in this picture, but each petal on the flower is slightly gathered at the base to make it puckery & 3-dimensional....so wonderful. And the beaded paisley in the center of the blue/green block is not a pre-made patch but was hand-beaded and sequined by Jackie. She was even kind enough to give me the site where I can find instructions for making my own. It's so bohemian-Me, I can't stop looking at it. Thank you so much Jackie for all the work you put into these and gifted upon me. Just another reminder of why I love this Block Swap so.
Hope everyone is well and creating. Peace, Zann.

The February Swap is here!

I can't believe that the month of January is here and gone! I mean what the heck wasn't it just 2006.

Anyway, on to the swapy goodness. The partner info emails have been sent out, by midnight too, go me. If you haven't finished your blocks for January please email your partner and myself to let us know about the delay. If you haven't received any blocks by the 9th of Feb email me and let me know so I can get annoyed and crabby.. hehe not really. But I will work to get things straightened out. And right after this post is posted I will add the new members to the side bar. And we actually have 3 new members this month. Welcome, I hope you have a lot of swapy fun!

I do have good news, I'm actually going to be able to participate in the swap this month. I'm so excited to make blocks and get some in return. I think I was getting burnt out mainly because I was only doing the boring admin stuff. Also, on a personal note, my life has become less stressful lately because I finally quit my stress filled job! And another personal note, I finally kicked myself in gear and opened my online store on etsy and started posting patterns weekly over at Craft Leftovers. For me these are both super exciting and since I've know some of you for 7 month give or take I thought I would share the good news! Woot!

Well that's it for now! Happy Quilting!

January Swap - Jenn Rocks!

I completely love these blocks by Jenn! They are as tiki as tiki can be, and technically gorgeous. I want to embroider like you when I grow up, Jenn!

There are more detail photos, if you'd like to see them, over at CraftyPod. Great swap month, Jenn, thank you so much.
