Michigan Quilter

Hello to all...
I am Norma Weems from Farmington Hills, Michigan. I have been quilting for about 4 years. I am over 50 with 2 adult children and 1 grand daughter Madison who is almost 4. I am owned by 3 Chihuahuas.... Max, Emma and Jessie. Max is a shortcoat and the girls are long coated. I work in the advertising industry although I am not involved in the creative process there. I am a number cruncher in accounting.
I enjoy most aspects of quilting although hand piecing is a definitely not for me.
I look forward to sewing for all of you!!

Julyswap is here!

I just sent out e-mails for the July swap. Please let me know if you should have received one and didn't. I appear to have gotten confused about what month it is. The e-mail's all say "June swap", but I swear they are for July.
Starting this month, I am changing the swap to one 12" block instead of
two. The size of the blocks we are swapping isn't changing, just the
amount. Hopefully this will make it easier for people with busy schedules
to continue to participate. I don't know about you, but I find that I am
usually full of great ideas for the first block, but then I struggle to
come up with a fun second block. Please let me know what you think by
e-mailing me at quiltblockswap@gmail.com.
I posted a review of all the quilt shops I visited on my recent trip along Route 66 awhile ago, and I thought you all might be interested. You can see it on my blog, here: http://maydela.livejournal.com/76577.html
Do you have a quilt shop that you love to visit? I'm afraid my new favorite quilt shop may be Okahoma Quiltworks, and it is going to be hard to convince my husband that a wonderful quilt store is a good enough reason to move there from California. Oh well.

I'm looking forward to seeing the beautiful blocks people made for last months swap. I get so excited every time I check the mail, hoping that my blocks are there.
