I got my blocks from Theresa a couple of weeks ago, but I just got around to taking the pictures. I love the colors on these! That shade of green is my current favorite kind of green right now. I always show my new blocks to my husband, and he particularly liked the tree block. Thank you for the beautiful blocks, Theresa!

HI,
I'm Jan and live in Grand Rapids Michigan. Love quilting, sewing, rug hooking, crochet, and watercolor painting. Don't get the wrong idea, I dabble in most of these.
I've been in swaps and round robins before, and have always found it to be a great experience, and hope to ride this one out for many months.
We have one dog, Dharma, who is finally getting over the death of her pal Buddy, a 14 year old collie springer mix.
Hope to meet you all at one time or another during this swap.

August swap!
I finally managed to get out the August swap information after a couple of technical glitches.
We have had quite a number of people interested in joining our swap over the last couple of months, which is wonderful! Unfortunately, many of them seem to be confused as to what a block theme is. I put up a list on the sidebar of this here blog that explains what you need to join, with a small example of a block theme. If you are recommending your friends to this swap please point them to the blog so that they can get information. Also, I am always happy to give any information people need. This is basically what I've been telling anyone who asks.
This is an on going, monthly swap. Every month you will be matched up with a different partner to whom you will send one 12" block (12.5" with seam allowances) to that partner that works for her theme. Everyone gets to pick their own theme, but they are usually just color preferences, or a simple block style. When choosing your theme, please keep in mind that we have members of all different skill levels, so it is best not to pick anything too complicated.
If you have any questions/suggestions just send me an e-mail at quiltblockswap@gmail.com
Happy swapping!

If you have not already done so post an introduction at and share a picture of a past quilt and/or
a project you are currently working on.
If you have received your blocks, please post pictures of them and a little thank you. If you cannot post pictures, post a little thank you anyway, maybe with a description or ask your partner if they took pictures before they sent them off and if they could post pictures for you.
If you have any questions/suggestions just send me an e-mail at quiltblockswap@gmail.com
Happy swapping!
