Hi

Hi my name is Jane,
I live in Melbourne, Australia. I am married, with two little girls.
I have been quilting for about 15 years. I have done many different forms, but at the moment I am madly in love with 30's prints and hand applique.
I have been a part of two international swaps lately. Hopefully you won't mind sending your block to me in Australia. Come visit my blog here.
Looking forward to getting to know you all
Jane

Greetings!

Hi
My name is Margaret. I am an avid quilter, sewer, etc. Some days I wonder if I will ever complete anything (as I peer into my messy hole of a sewing room which looks like a fabric bomb went off), but it is definitely my passion & obsession. I also am hosting the Four Seasons Quilt Swap, which for the Fall season involved 60 talented quilters.

I have been sewing for nearly 30 years. Over the last year I have made 28 quilts for Project Linus in an attempt to use up some of my scraps. Much to the contrary...numerous people contributed their scraps to my cause and now I have more than before I started! I also have been making smocked dresses for my daughter, seen on my sewing blog. I am very excited to be part of this block swap.

August block!

This is the block Evelyn sent me last month. There was a last minute snafu and I ended up with two partners. I was waiting for my block from Janice to post this, but I just found out they had quite a lot of rain, so she's running late.

Anyway, I love this block. I have a secret fondness for toile prints that I don't often indulge. Plus she included the instructions for how to make this block. The completed quilt looks amazing. I think I'm going to have to make it.

I managed to finish a lot of projects in the spring and early summer, including a quilt I've been working on for my sister for 7 years, just in time for her birthday yesterday. Her favorite color is purple, and she loves cats. I had a lot of extra fabric from the border and backing so I made her some matching pillowcases. I think she was a little more excited by those then by the quilt itself.

Hello

I am new to quilt swaps as well as blogging. I enjoy quilting, when the time allows and look forward to swapping with all of you. I am a mother of three grown daughters, I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Counseling as well as being a Pastor's wife. I live in Northern Michigan and if you are a fan of all 4 seasons this is the place to be.
