Oops - here are the blocks from Debbie

Beautiful blocks!

Imagine my delight when I got these in the mail yesterday from Debbie in Canada. Not only did she send me one beautiful block, but two! The second is an angel block because I never heard from my January partner. Is that thoughtful or what? My faith is renewed!

Thanks, Debbie!

February block

I finally got around to making my February block.
I struggled since I have been suffering with allergies all month. Yes, we have pollen in Florida. Lots of it.
I did not receive a block for January but in good faith I will continue the block swap since I learn as I go.
I will have my block in the mail by Saturday.

Hello

Hello, I am a new member to this group!

My name is Emma, I'm in my 20s and I live in England, in the UK. I'm so excited about this group, and have loved checking out everybody's blogs and seeing all the various quilt blocks! :o)

I'm quite new to quilting, but have enjoyed my projects so far, and am a quick learner. I'll try and post some of my past quilting blocks on my blog soon.

Hope everybody is well.

Best Wishes,

Emma. x

Hey everyone - sorry I am just posting this but this is the block I received for January. It's cute and will go great with a bunch of pinwheels I made with scrap fabrics. I love this whole swap thing! Check out my blog if you want to see the pinwheels I made http://aj-johnson.blogspot.com

My beautiful teapot!

Isn't this a gorgeous, colorful teapot to liven up this January weather? Thanks so much, Angela!

Starting off 2008

Can you believe it is February already? Where did January go?

I hope you all had a great time with your January blocks and partners, and are looking forward to February. Please remember to post pictures here on the blog for all of us to enjoy and especially remember to thank your partners.

Are you all having trouble posting to the blog? I know of one person who is having difficulty and, quite frankly, blogs are pretty much a total mystery to me. If those of you who are blog savvy would post instructions and/or suggestions for those of us who are technologically challenged, we would be very grateful!

We have several new people who joined the swap in January.....you all please post an introduction so we can get acquainted with you.

Hopefully the February partner assignments will be sent out in the next day or two. Just a few days after the January emails were sent out, my computer decided it needed to take a vacation and it has taken me the whole month to sort things out. In fact, just last night, Shannon's very patient and long-suffering husband spent an hour walking me through setting up the swap programs again, so all should be well. Thank you soooo much, Walker! This afternoon I will work on making the necessary changes to the database and work on getting the emails ready to be sent out.

If anyone has questions, comments, or wants to make any changes in their information, please be sure to email me at quiltblockswap@gmail.com. Also, if you need to take a month off or are unable to continue with us for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible so I will have time to make the necessary adjustments before the next partner assignment is done.

Have a great month, ladies, and enjoy your quilting!
Sandi
