Melissa!
Melissa, please send me an email as soon as you see this posting. I tried twice to send your partner assignment but both times it bounced back to me. I will try to send it again later to see if maybe it just is your server having issues or something.
Thanks,
Sandi

I'm almost alive :-)
So sorry that I've been out of touch for awhile, but my Three Glorious Vacation Days turned into one mediocre day and two sick days. :( I just started on antibiotics and I'm already feeling better.
It was like Christmas without the nuts! - I received two packets on the same day; one from Emma and the other from AJ. What beautiful blocks - and I'll post pics later, but I have to commend such lovely work. AJ, you're cut, but not yet sewn - but you're getting closer. Keep the faith!
I love all my blocks and I'm itching to get sewing - or am I just itching from being sick?! :-P

Hello From New Orleans!!
Hi everyone!
I'm Melissa and new today. Gonna get started on a swap for the first time starting in July. I am so excited and have always wanted to do it! I have been quilting for 4 years and since I am a homemaker with no kids at home anymore, I have lots of time and have made about 30 quilts to date. Given away most of them of course. I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I am looking forward to making some great friends here.

Thank You Dana!
Dana's quilt blocks for the May swap turned up this morning - and they are both really really lovely!
Last month I changed my quilt block theme, and Dana sent me one of each! :o)
This first one is for the pink and white 9-patch theme that I had...

I really love the mix of pinks and the different fabrics. It will go perfectly in my pink bedroom! I love it.
The second block is for my new Christmas theme...

And it's awesome! Red, green and gold...and the pattern is just great.
Thank you Dana! They are both wonderful! And I hope your swap package turns up shortly! :o)

Greetings from Kansas
My name is Priscilla and I am new to the group this month and am paired with Mary in California. I took early retirement on 4-1-07, no fooling. lol Been interested in quilting since early 80's. I am excited to be sharing time with all of you. I worked on Mary's Sunbonnet Sue block today. Must have changed fabric combo at least 40-11 times (a family number meaning a lots) I think I finally settled on choices and will be sleeping on it. Templates are waiting patiently for scissors to be applied to fabric.
BTW, I have a daughter & son, 5 grandsons and 4 great-grandchildren (2 girls & 2 boys and another boy on the way). Will be doing some family quilting this summer, for sure, keeping up the great-grands.
May all your seams be 1/4 inch and all points match and appliques be smooth. Happy stitching to all.
Later... Pris

Forever Stamps - not for oversees!
This comes under the heading of "Who Knew?" -
I mailed Emma's block and, since we have a postal machine at my office, I weighed it and stuck on some stamps and off it went. Then, back it came! Even my post office learned something - you can't use the forever stamps on international mail. Stamps on international mail must have a denomination - makes sense, but something to remember.
I'm gearing up for a busy weekend at work. It starts Thursday morning at 8am with our Trustee meeting - and concludes with taking money for our silent auction fundraiser at 10pm Saturday night. I'll be able to head home for short periods, but this kind of schedule was fun when I was in my 20's - not so much as I (fast!) approach 50! :-)
I made contact with AJ and she's heading to Las Vegas. I'm starting to think earth tones....
