I'm New Too

Hi! My name is Brandy and I just joined in November. I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids (1,3, and 5). I sew to keep from going crazy. I am getting a serger for x-mas and plan to start making clothes for the kiddos.

I like bright colors as you can tell from my pics. I am just now learning to applique and plan to make all of you my test subjects.

I'm glad you let me join and can't wait to start collecting blocks!-Brandy in TX.

December Newbie

Hi everyone,

My name is Kristin and I just signed on to take part in the December block swap. I am very excited about the whole project. Any advice would be appreciated! I am posting a picture of a quilt I recently made for my sister. She had a baby on Oct 25. At her baby shower, I had everyone decorate a quilt square and then I pieced them together with fabrics that coordinated with the crib bedding that I made.

I kept the quilting pretty simple since the blocks were busy. The border is stippled and I did some vines and a couple flowers along the sashing. This is the 3rd 'memory quilt' I've done for someone who's having a baby. They always go over well with the moms!

I'm looking forward to participating this month and seeing everyone's hard work!

New here and new to block swaps

Hi Everyone

I'm Anne and I live in Australia. I'm 27 years old, married and we have 3 wonderful boys (Jack 4.5 year, Charlie 3 years and Henry 6 month)..... I am a home mum and have always enjoyed sew and quilting but with 3 small children i find it hard to find the time to make a full quilt so that is why I have turned to block swaps. It is also another way for me to met some people who are interest in what I am as I find this hard to do because we live out of a small town on a farm.

I hope that I have attached the quilts that I made for my sister (Cows - not my taste but hers) and brother's for their wedding present.
