When I first joined the swap, I posted an article with pictures of a quilt I was making for my dad for his 80th birthday. As you can see from the title of this post, it was - and remains - the only quilt I have ever made. If you would like to read that article, look in the archives on the right side of the blog screen and click on 2006, then scroll down a little above mid-way. That article has almost the same title as this one, to make it easy for you to find.
For whatever reason, I never posted a picture of the finished quilt. However, one of the members of the group has been insisting that I need to do that, so here it is. The pictures were taken at a quilt show I entered it in in May. This first picture is as much of the quilt as I could fit in, no farther than I could back up from it. It has most of it in the picture and shows a wee bit more detail. The second picture has the whole thing but is from a somewhat weird angle.
It was a fun project to design and make . . . . . . and yes, miraculously enough, I did manage to finish it before his birthday. :o)))
