As of this date, I am not participating in the group any longer. If you get my name, please do not send me a block. I have tried emailing the list mom several times and have not gotten an answer. I have not gotten a block for February yet, and the March block was the wrong colors. I'm not off to a good start.
Please forgive me if this offends anyone. I just don't want to keep sending blocks out and not getting what I expected in return. Thanks.

Another newbie
I thougt I would post some pics of my creations. So excited to join the swap.

WIP...it has been sewn together and pinned..just need to quilt it

A small wall hanging I did and added some bead embroidery. I has entered it in to the county fair and won a red ribbon.
A quilt top for a baby. Still looking for that perfect backing.

Dionne, I think, tried to post this but it didn't "take", so I am posting it - too cute!
I really haven't made many costumes. A few here and there for a Halloween or two, but even then, not much. So when my son's teacher asked me to come and help sew the class costumes for their Spring Fest, I jumped at the chance.

We all showed up in the pre-school classroom on a Saturday. Only one other mom had a sewing machine and knew how to sew. Our teacher brought one that she had borrowed but after fixing the tension for her numerous times she decided that sewing wasn't for her. I felt bad for her because I know how frustrating it can be when the tension keeps messing up, this was her first time attempting to sew something and I don't think it made a great impression. She also designed the costumes.

So the other mom's cut and glued dots on the frogs (in the interest of time we decided to glue the dots)While we manned the machines and completed frog and polliwog bodies, stitched up bellies and made adorable feet and hands for those frogs that needed them. The polliwogs didn't need hands, and only those children who elected to be polliwogs with feet needed those. --

Newbie
Hi, I'm new to the qult block swap, but not new to quilting. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, and can't wait to get started on my first block! I'm posting a few of the quilts I've done. My favorites are the one block wonders. I have a quilt wall at home, which helps me bring out my creative side. The third picture shows a quilt in the making from a 2007 shop hop in the tristate area.
