Here is the log cabin block I mailed to Virginia. It was my second log cabin ever. My first was made simultaneously. Not to bad if I say so myself.

Assistance needed with blogging

Several of you are very well versed in the art of blogging, whereas many of us are clueless. There have been requests from members of the swap for help but I am afraid I am a wee bit closer to the clueless end of it. Would some of you more well-versed ones be willing to share your expertise with the rest of us? Creating posts and especially inserting pictures seem to be the main issues, but anything you would like to teach us would be very much appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

Sandi

June block mailed

I mailed my block to my partner last week. I have still not heard from her. I have contacted her and nor heard anything. Have I missed something?

My first (and only) quilt

When I first joined the swap, I posted an article with pictures of a quilt I was making for my dad for his 80th birthday. As you can see from the title of this post, it was - and remains - the only quilt I have ever made. If you would like to read that article, look in the archives on the right side of the blog screen and click on 2006, then scroll down a little above mid-way. That article has almost the same title as this one, to make it easy for you to find.

For whatever reason, I never posted a picture of the finished quilt. However, one of the members of the group has been insisting that I need to do that, so here it is. The pictures were taken at a quilt show I entered it in in May. This first picture is as much of the quilt as I could fit in, no farther than I could back up from it. It has most of it in the picture and shows a wee bit more detail. The second picture has the whole thing but is from a somewhat weird angle.
It was a fun project to design and make . . . . . . and yes, miraculously enough, I did manage to finish it before his birthday. :o)))

How many members?

At present, we have 29 members representing England, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, in addition to the US. And we have everything from newbies to those who have been quilting a zillion years. All of it together makes for a very interesting mix. :o)

totaly confused. Trying to figure this out.

OK I got my email giving me an name and an address, and block type. Is this who i make a block for? Are we switching or is someone else making for me? Do I only make one block? When is mailing deadline? Do I send anything else in the package?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to make sure I understand everything. Don't want to mess this up for anyone.
Thanks
Rachel

Catch up

Hey, just been looking through the blog. and was seeing such amazing things everyone has produced since this swap started.

Was wondering if anyone knows how many people (roughly) are involved in the swap.

Also, am I the only one that has only had positive experiences? I've never yet (Touch wood) had someone fail to deliver the block.

Just curiosity really
